Sweep of Nations

Project Description

Sweep of Nations is an electronic and horticultural interactive installation, where the audience can experiment the interaction with wind and plants. It consists of a large wooden box with a cutout shape of the earth on its top. In the cutout, sprouts of plants are grown to form an organic map of the world. Some LED lights display data of social activities while fans along the continental coasts allow the plants to sway. This project is a metaphor of the effects the progression of communication technology have over the environment.
